The box super updating

For some reason, Nintendo chose to update the Super Mario Odyssey box art with a tiny little change.

The box art shows a bunch of glimpses from the game, and one of those was a sombrero-wearing Mario in the lower left corner. The sombrero Mario has been replaced with a swimming Mario, probably to show that the game has a water level too.

The updated box art features the plumber swimming with Cheap-Cheap.

Although a small change, it makes me wonder why Nintendo decided to change it.

Could there be an emphasis on swimming in the game, or was it simply the decision of a designer?
